During this time of uncertainty and the ongoing global pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, we have added a few precautionary measures to our procedures that will help us to limit and prevent the possible spread of the virus. Along with changes to mealtime procedures, increased frequency of sanitizing procedures and even more of an emphasis on hand washing with the children, we made some changes that will impact parents and those who wish to have a tour of our building.

One major change we have implemented is that we are only allowing parents a few feet into our front hallway. The less people who walk through our building, the better right now, to ensure the safety of the children here, their families as well as our staff and their families. The same goes for families who wish to have a tour of our facility. We can allow you in the front hallway for questions, but we do have a door in each classroom that goes outside. We would be more than happy to have you peek in these outside doors so you can view the classrooms. We apologize for this inconvenience, but feel it is our duty to limit the childrens' possible exposure.

Other notable procedures we have implemented to help prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 in our building are listed below:

All staff must wear masks at all times inside the building, except when eating or drinking.

All parents must wear a mask when dropping off and picking their children up. No Exceptions.

All children aged 4 and up will wear a mask while inside, except while eating and napping.

All staff and children's shoes are sanitized before walking through the building.

We take the temperatures of all children when they arrive, before nap time and after nap time. Those with fevers will not be allowed to attend, and those that develop fevers should be picked up immediately.

All staff temperatures are also taken when they arrive. Those with fevers will be asked to return home.

We have recently acquired and are using a specialized lighting system in our HVAC units which sanitize the circulating air in our building.

Our number 1 priority here at Wee Care Christian Childrens Center is to keep your children safe and away from harm. Right now, that means implementing these adjustments to our daily procedures, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
