COVID-19 INFO

Since the start of the ongoing global pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, we have added a few precautionary measures to our procedures that will help us to limit and prevent the possible spread of the virus and other illness in the building. Along with changes to mealtime procedures, increased frequency of sanitizing procedures and even more of an emphasis on hand washing with the children, we made some changes that will impact parents and those who wish to have a tour of our building.

One major change we have implemented is that we are checking students in a few feet into our front hallway as well as bringing children to that front hallway to meet their parents at pick-up time. You are of course allowed to walk back to the classrooms if there is a reason to do so, but the less people who walk through our building, the better, to ensure the safety of the children here, their families as well as our staff and their families. We have found that this is much less distracting to our students and teachers as well. If you wish to tour our facility when looking for childcare centers for your child, please call and schedule a meeting with us. We apologize for this inconvenience, but feel it is our duty to limit the childrens' possible exposure.

Other notable procedures we have implemented to help prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 in our building are listed below:

We take the temperatures of all children when they arrive. Those with fevers will not be allowed to attend, and those that develop fevers throughout the day should be picked up immediately.

We have recently acquired and are using a specialized lighting system in our HVAC units which sanitize the circulating air in our building.

Our number 1 priority here at Wee Care Christian Childrens Center is to keep your children safe and away from harm. Right now, that means implementing these adjustments to our daily procedures, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

We have done away with the daily use of masks for staff, children and parents. We DO, however, expect you and your child(age 4 and up) to wear a mask if experiencing cold-like, or other illness symptoms even when mild, when in our building. This applies to staff, children and parents who may have the sniffles or a slight cough, but are not "sick" to an extent that they would not be allowed at the center. Having the masks in our center the past few years has significantly cut down on illness in our center, so we would greatly appreciate it if you could follow that request.
